Observethefollowingprocedurebeforetheshipisplacedindry
dock
1Ensurethatthetransducershaftisfullyretracted.
2Poweroffthesonarsystem.
3DisconnectthemainspowertotheProcessorUnit.
4PlacealabelontheOperatingPaneltoinformallusersthat
thesonarcannotbepoweredupwhiletheshipisindrydock.
Functionaltestofthehullunitafterdrydocking
Thisprocedureexplainshowtodoafunctionalcheckofthehull
unit.Thetestistypicallydonewhentheshiphasbeentaken
outofdrydock.
1Ensurethatthewaterdepthbelowthevesselissufcientto
lowerthetransducer.
2IntheMotorControlUnit,setthehoist/lowerswitchS302
topositionLOWER.
3Observethatthetransducerislowereddownintothewater.
Thehoistingmotorwillautomaticallystopwhenthe
transducershaftreachesthelowerlimitswitch.
4Setthehoist/lowerswitchS302topositionSTOP.
5Checkthatthetransducerisloweredproperly,thatthe
transducercableisnottangledinanyway,andthatnoother
objectsinterferewiththeoperation.
