Howtoliftthetransduceroutofitstransportcrate
TheSimradMS70transducerisshippedinalargewoodencrate.Thecratehastwo
“rooms”,onetohousethetransducer,andonetohousethecables.Thetransduceris
placedwithits“face”downwards.Itrestsonaprotectivecushionshapedtotthe
transducer.Acrossthetopofthetransducerbody,awoodenbeamsecuresthatitstays
inplaceduringtransportation.

Preparations
Inordertoliftthetransducerout
fromitstransportationcrate,you
willneedasuitablecrane.The
cranemustbeabletocarrythe
totalweightofthetransducer
arrayandthecables.Youwill
alsoneedthenecessaryropes
andtackles,aswellasthree
M10liftingeyebolts.Inorder
toprotectthetransducerface
whilehandlingthearray,you
willalsoneedacircularwooden
platewithdiameter522mm.

Procedure
